COVID-19 Procedures

  • What are your COVID-19 procedures?

    We adhere to provincial guidelines regarding COVID safety.  Masks are required while in the shop.

  • What are your hours and how do I make an appointment?

    Because in person shopping is by appointment only hours are flexible.  Vern will make every effort to accommodate your schedule.  Please call, text or email to set up an appointment.

  • Where is Pat Bay Leather Located?

    10486 West Saanich Road.

    The shop is located on Vern’s property on Pat Bay.  It is a large 1050 square foot shop, separate from the residence.

    If Traveling from Victoria

    • Proceed as though going to the Victoria airport.
    • Continue past the airport on Willingdon road.
    • Turn right at the stop sign at the “T” where you meet West Saanich Road.
    • Continue on West Saanich Road past the church on Mills road.
    • Continue on West Saanich road just beyond Tseycum reserve.
    • As you pass the reserve, look to the left and you will see a grey cedar fence with the house numbers 10486 West Saanich Road.
    • Where the fence ends, turn left onto the small service road.
    • Turn left down the first driveway closest to West Saanich Road.
    • The shop is located in a large green building separate from the residence at the bottom of the drive.
    • You will find parking there. 
    • If you reach Towner Park Road you have just missed the turn by 200 feet.

    If Traveling from the Ferries

    • Take the Wain Road exit and continue traveling to the west.
    • Turn left at the stop sign where you meet West Saanich Road
    • Travel down the long gradual hill towards the water.
    • Immediately after you pass Towner Park Road turn right onto a small service road.
    • Turn left down the first driveway that is parallel to West Saanich Road. 
    • Look for the large green shop at the bottom of the drive.  You will find parking there.

  • Is the price on the product page for the whole hide or per square foot?

    Prices are per square foot unless otherwise indicated.

  • How do I place an order?

    In keeping with our personalized service, contact Vern directly to place an order.  He will ask about your work and will show you what leather is in stock.  If you cannot visit the shop, he can send pictures or set up a FaceTime appointment to browse the inventory. If you are attempting to match leather, please send pictures of your sample.

  • How much does shipping cost?

    Shipping costs depend upon the weight and dimensions of the package and the delivery address. We ship using Canada Post.

    • Payment

  • What payment methods do you accept?

    We accept all major credit cards, debit cards, e-transfers, and cash.

    • Returns

  • What is your return policy?

    We will exchange or issue a credit for future purchases as long as the hide has not been cut or damaged.  If you would like to make a return or exchange please contact Vern as soon as possible and he will do his best to resolve the issue.
